AEC Class' 88 foundation has organised a Medical Camp on 24th November 2024, in The Bathouphuri Field, Musalpur, Baksa at 8:00 pm. Three doctors and give nurses from Sarvodaya Hospital, Two doctors and two nurses from State Health Services,Ten persons ( medical technicians)from Shankar Netralaya and a team of Six doctors and nurseswill join the camp.
Four members from DC Office staff also will be at our disposal for help.
DC Baksa Gautam Das inaugurated the occasion.
Altogether 252 people registered their names. 92 people people advised to have spectacles with power.17 people advised to for Cataract operation.
32 ladies above 40 years of age screened by Deepshikha Foundation for cancer.
On 29 th of November 29 people, on 30 th November 26 people and on 5 th December 11 people taken by a bus from Musalpur for eye power checking in Sri Shankaradeva Nethralaya , Pathsala.
On 2nd of December 2024 5 people taken to Guwahati Sri Shankaradeva Nethralaya Hospital returned back home on 7th December2024 after cataract operation of 3 of them. Other 3 advised not to go for cataract. 18 th of December 2024 people will be offered their spectacles in Musalpur.

AEC Class 88 donated a small amount of Rs 50,000/- to his bereaved family on 1st June 2023
Pritishri Hazarika whom we have adopted and assured to pay her XI th and XII class admission and all the tution fees for both the years along with her family members and along with some of our members in Pritishri's residence in Ramgaon, greater Dipila near Sipajhar.
She secured distinction marks in HDLC exam.

The Annual Felicitation and Scholarship presentation Function of Assam Engineering College’s 1988 pass out batch (AEC Class’88 Foundation) was held at the Institute of Engineers (India) Assam State Centre auditorium on 25th February 2023. As in the previous eight years, scholarships and other felicitation cum endowment programs were carried out in presence of the former students and their families including some who had come from far off places and even abroad. This year the theme of the function was –“ Tribute to the Indian Army”.
The programme was attended by Brigadier Sanjeev Chopra, Deputy GOC, 51 Sub Area , stationed at Narangi Cantonment and senior Army officials Col Rajib Bhuyan, Lt Colonel Saurabh Sabhlok and others. A special contingent of Army Jawans were also present. All of them were felicitated with a specially designed gamocha . A citation appreciating the role of the Army for the safety and security of the Nation was also presented to Brigadier Chopra. In his speech Brigadier Chopra highly appreciated the role of the Foundation for their philantrophic activities and also for their tribute to the gallant soldiers of the Nation. Lt Colonel Saurabh Sablok enthralled the audience with some patriotic numbers.
In addition to the programme, the children of SOS Children’s village Borjhar were felicitated and an amount of Rs 25000 was contributed for their welfare and well-being. School Bags were also presented to them. The amount was received by Shri Subodh Das, Director SOS Village along with other members. The children also presented a patriotic song on the occasion. The programme also witnessed the performances of the NCC Cadets of Handique Girls College and Cotton University.
A special feature of the programme was the felicitation of noted Ojapali exponent Guru Drona Bhuyan and his disciple Shri Jayanta Nath. Guru Shri Bhuyan was awarded an amount of Rs 25000 for his relentless efforts in propagating the Ojapali theme. A Deodhani Dance was presented by Shri Bhuyan’s daughter Smt Dharatri Bhuyan.
An award of Rs 30000 was given to meritious student Shri Satyajit Baishya of 1st Semester Civil Engg department of Assam Engineering College . The winner of the most innovative student of the year went to Ms Dixeeta Mudaliar of AEC 8th Semester Mechanical for her Project: “Design and fabrication of rope making machine for plant based fibre to increase the productivity of artisan.” The other project partners were Rituparna Das and Krithartha Sarma. The special Jury award of Rs 2000 each was awarded to Arindam Kashyap Roy , AEC 8th Semester Mechanical , Shri Bapynshngainlang Nongkynrih, a student of 4thSem MCA, Donbosco University and Shri Jawad Ahmed , a 8th Semester student of Computer science Engineering, Royal Global University .
The programme was attended by Ex Professors of Assam Engineering College Dr Pradyut Goswami, Dr N.N. Talukdar, Dr Kalyani Goswami and Dr Damodar Agarwalla. They were all felicitated by the Foundation. The function concluded with a cultural programme presented by Indrani Talukdar and her troupe. The programme was compered by Kula Kamal Roy while the vote of thanks was offered by President Gautam Phatowali. This was stated in a Press Release issued by Jayanta Barua of AEC 88 Foundation.
“AEC Class’88 foundation” an alumni group of 1988 batch of Assam Engineering college. Jalukbari, organized a 6 km running race and a traditional dress competition in Deulkuchi village in the K B Delkuchi Higher secondary school field. The event was organized with the prime aim to encourage the young students community of the area towards sports and fitness activities. The 6km running race was organized among both boys and girls. The 6 km race started from the KB Higher secondary School and the route selected was via Khandikar Railway station, Sirakhundi Power House and back to School field. Same route was chosen for both boys and girls. Ten numbers of prizes were given to both boys and girls. For boys category first three prizes of Rs 3000/- ,Rs.2500/- and Rs/1500/- were won by Ashik Boro, Divas Kalita, and Dhaneswar Boro respectively and in the girls category first three prizes were won by Namita Mahilary, Susmita Basumatary and Gitika Basumatary. In both the categories cash awards were provided upto to the 10th position holders in the race.
A Traditional dress competition was also organized in which boys participants were outnumbered by girls. In the young boys category first two awards of Rs. 1000/- and Rs.500/- were won by Rohit Boro and Dhrupad Das. In the young girls category first three awards were won by Kuwali, Pratima Boro and Trisha Boro respectively. In the Boys section (13yrs to 21 Yrs} 1st prize and 2nd prize were won by Bikash Boro and jointly by Rakibul Hussain and Sumad Ali. In the Girls category maximum numbers of participants joined. First three prizes were presented to Anjali Basumatari, Susmita Boro and Nisha Siddika. Mr. Pearl Pratim Bezbaruah an NRI member of AEC Class’ 88 Foundation of Muscat has sponsored this event in response to the demand of sports loving students of the area. AEC Class ’88 Foundation looking forward to organize more such types of sports activity in this area.
The All Assam Prize Money Inter Institution Quiz Competition on Science and Technology was organized on 10th April, 2022 in association with Institution of Engineers India, Assam State Centre, at Institution of Engineers India, ASC, Panbazar. Guwahati. Total 38 teams (76 participants)took part in the grand event. More than 50 nos of audiances were watching the Quiz and took part in the Quiz as audience. At 10: 00 AM registration process was started. Each team were provided hard board, answer sheet , pen and coupon for launch at the time of registration. At the time of registration process snacks, and tea water were offered along with return sheets for identification and detail records of the participants. And the Preliminary written round of Quiz was commenced on 11: 00 AM with a brief description of the general rules and regulation for the quiz. After the Preliminary rounds were over all the answer sheets were collected for evaluation. Contestants were requested to finish off their lunch while judges were marking the answer sheets. At 01:15 PM Quiz master Mr Tridib Kr Bora announced the first 10 position holders, so that the First 6 teams may participate in the Final round. Our Chief guest Mr Pankaj kr Goswami, Director Operations, Oil India ltd, was felicitated and he inaugurated the Final round of the Quiz competition.
